Guadalajara Meat Market in Victorville blends a traditional Mexican carnicería with a bustling takeout kitchen, making it a go-to spot for anyone craving authentic Mexican flavors in a straightforward, no-frills setting. While it’s primarily a meat market offering a range of grocery and personal goods, the real draw here is the food counter, where the focus is on hearty, sizable burritos and tacos filled with richly seasoned meats like carne asada, chicharrón, carnitas, and birria.

The atmosphere is unpretentious and busy, typical of neighborhood markets that serve locals rather than tourists. You won’t find a formal dining room or seating area here, so it’s best suited for picking up your food to enjoy nearby or at home. This practical setup fits the community vibe — it’s a place where people come for quality grub without fuss, often on the go or during a quick lunch break.

If you’re someone who appreciates bold, authentic Mexican fare made with care, particularly large, meat-heavy burritos and tacos that stand apart for their generosity of filling, this is likely to resonate well. The cooks work in a modest kitchen that delivers consistent flavor without shortcuts, a detail noted by locals who keep coming back. The surrounding area has its quirks, so staying aware of your environment is advised, but these kinds of unvarnished neighborhood spots often deliver the most authentic bites.

Visiting during lunch or early evening hours when the kitchen is active offers the best chance to catch freshly made items like the carnitas-chicharrón burrito or menudo tacos. Despite the lack of a place to sit, the quality of the food speaks for itself and regularly draws regulars who appreciate a genuine taste of Mexican home-style cooking tucked inside a meat market's everyday setting.

Burritos were fire right here, probably the best burrito in victorville. The Carne asada and Chicharon burrito was amazing. Even the Carne asada one. I saw them making the tacos also, and man, they are not shystie with the meat. Definitely will make this the go-to place. They do not have a place to enjoy them, but good thing I live down the street.. tha kful someone put me on to this place...8 bucks for the burrito was a steal...highly recommened...

It smells kinda stinky outside and inside (front entrance). But overall the service is good and the food is great. Oh and be careful because there is a lot of weird people nearby.

Some of the most authentic and delicious Mexican food is being served up here. The mixed meat burritos the size of a "baby", the locals know what I mean. The cabeza tacos, chicharon en salsa, the giant quesadillas and mulitas. So much of everything comes from this small kitchen and 2 amazingly talented cooks. Beautiful to see.

Variety of goods for groceries, personal, and home needs makes this carnicería much more like a Downtown Victorville department store. Kick in the take-out hot foods kitchen and you have an unexpected paradise!

Love this places food. Staff are very nice. The only downside is there's nowhere to sit to eat.

The menudo pieces were so large I could barely scoop them up with my spoon. Probably the best menudo and most inexpensive I've had in the high desert. I also got a burrito of carne asada mixed with pastor and it was huge! The red salsa is very good if you you like it hot. Menudo was I think $9.99 and the big burrito was $8.00. Cons: it's in a bad neighborhood and offers no where to sit.
